To help cash-strapped businesses compete with deep-pocketed investors, U.S. senators have introduced a bill that would give cannabis entrepreneurs access to Small Business Administration (SBA) loans. Senator Jacky Rosen’s Fair Access for Cannabis Small Business Act would open up the SBA program if approved by Congress and signed into law by President Joe Biden, To "operate legally a marijuana business" that is currently prohibited from federal funding. The discrepancy hurts smaller companies more than well-capitalized multistate operators. "When combined with the SAFE Banking Act, the Fair Access to Cannabis Small Business Act will create a regulatory framework to ensure a vibrant entrepreneurial scene and diverse players."
