Are cannabis consumers happier people?
I got a comment the other day that really made me think.
He said: “How many stoners out there are miserable? Not too many by my count. Just sayin.”
… And you know what, he’s right.
I don’t know anyone who consumes cannabis regularly, and is also angry / sad / unhappy the rest of the time.
In fact, one of the most shocking parts of the cannabis industry (for me) was how much I loved the people.
Seriously, cannabis consumers / professionals are so damn nice, friendly, and warm.
Of course, there is also some interesting science around this — in regards to THC mimicking “the bliss hormone” anandamide.
So consuming cannabis is literally producing “happiness” chemicals in your mind and body.
Then I got to thinking about why people are still so against cannabis (federal illegality, harsh over-regulations, criminal penalties, etc), and this had me wondering…
Is the war on cannabis REALLY a war on people feeling good / free / creative?
This is a bit of a “random stream of consciousness” post, but that comment around “cannabis consumers being happier people” really got me thinking, and I was curious to hear if anyone else had contemplated this issue before.
So lmk, do you think cannabis consumers are, in fact, happier people?
